Our museum participated yesterday, Thursday 24th of June, in the 3rd International Conference of the Municipality of Farkadona, in the context of the implementation of the European project CULTRURAL +.

The main subject of the Conference was "Cultural utilization of rural economies: Cultural heritage, production, gastronomy, entrepreneurship", and representatives from Greece, Spain, Portugal, and France participated.

The museum was represented by its Operation Manager, Ms. Eleftheria Papakosta, who participated as a speaker too. In her speech, she referred to the Museum's relationship with the local community and the enrichment of the offered tourist product, through a series of activities, such as truffle hunting, local mushroom products, the Mushroom Festival, etc., as well as to the cooperations that have been developing, with Universities and institutions, in order to continuously upgrade its offered services.

Regarding the importance of the conference, she emphasized that "the value of some initiatives is great, since every effort to connect agricultural production with culture and gastronomy, not only highlights an area but also highlights aspects of it, unknown until today to visitors."
