The Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum has achieved yet another international distinction, as it has been awarded the Travellers’ Choice 2026 by the world’s largest travel platform, TripAdvisor.

This award is based exclusively on visitors’ reviews and experiences, which adds significant value and credibility to the distinction.

At the same time, the same award was granted to the Truffle Hunting experience organized by the Museum, confirming the high quality and experiential value of the activities it offers visitors.

According to this recognition:

  • The Museum, as well as the Truffle Hunting experience in Meteora, rank among the top 10% of attractions worldwide
  • The Museum is ranked 5th in Europe, among 1,423 Natural History Museums
  • It is also ranked 1st in Greece among Natural History Museums, according to travelers’ rankings

These distinctions confirm the Museum’s leading position on the cultural map of the region.
