The Museum’s new activity, “Truffle Hunting with Horseback Riding,” is now a reality! In response to the great interest shown, the Museum is giving away double invitations to three lucky winners for the tour scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

The contest will be conducted exclusively through the Museum’s official Instagram account.

Terms and conditions

  1. Subject of the Contest. The Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum (hereinafter the “Organizer”) announces a contest entitled “Experience Nature with All Your Senses” (hereinafter the “Contest”), which will take place through the website https://instagram.com/meteoramuseum/
  2. Right to Participate in the Contest. Eligible to participate in the Contest are all Instagram users over the age of 18.
  3. Exclusion of Participants. The following are excluded from the Contest: employees of the Organizer and its Partner, their spouses, and their first-degree relatives.
  4. Duration of the Contest. The duration of the Contest is defined as the period from 4/9/2025 (hereinafter the “Start of the Contest”) until 12/9/2025 at 17:00 (hereinafter the “End of the Contest”). The Organizer may, by posting a relevant announcement on the Website, modify the Duration of the Contest.
  5. How to Participate in the Contest. Those wishing to participate in the Contest must:
    1. Follow the Organizer’s page and the two collaborating accounts
    2. Like the contest post, and
    3. Comment on the contest post by mentioning a friend.
  6. Records. The records kept by the Organizer, or by third parties on its behalf, with the above data shall constitute full proof regarding the receipt of any entry in the Contest and the validity of such entry, in accordance with clause 7 below.
  7. Valid Entry. A “valid entry” is any entry in the Contest based on the above and within the Contest Duration. The Organizer may, at its absolute discretion, cancel any entry it deems to be the result of unlawful technical influence, fraud, or unfair interference by the participant or a third party.
  8. Prizes. Within the framework of the Contest, 3 (three) lucky winners will each win free participation for 2 people in the Museum’s Truffle Hunting with Horseback Riding, on 28/9/2025. The total value of the prize is €600.The Prize is personal, and the Contest winner has no right to exchange it for money or other substitutes. The participation date cannot be changed.
  9. Selection of Contest Winners. The winners will be determined through a draw. The draw will take place after the official end of the Contest at the Organizer’s offices on 12/9/2025 at 17:00. All valid entries, as defined above, will be included in the draw. The 3 (three) winners will be selected from the participants of the Contest on the page https://instagram.com/meteoramuseum/
  10. Notification – Collection of Prizes. The details of the Contest winners will be announced on the Organizer’s Instagram account and the winners will be notified via a direct message from the Organizer. In case a winner cannot be found, the Organizer reserves the right to dispose of the Prize at its sole discretion. Each winner must contact the Museum to confirm their participation in the activity.
  11. Liability. The Organizer shall not be liable if, for any technical reason, it is impossible to receive and register a participation in the Website system. Furthermore, the Organizer bears no responsibility for accessibility to the website, as it is beyond its sphere of influence. In any case, the Organizer’s liability shall be limited to acts or omissions caused by intent or gross negligence, and shall in no case extend to accidental events or force majeure.
  12. Publicity. The terms of participation in the Contest have been posted on the Organizer’s official website https://meteoramuseum.gr/
  13. Personal Data. The Organizer maintains a record of participants’ personal data until the completion of the winner selection process and the delivery of the Prizes, after which the data are destroyed.
  14. Amendment of Terms. The Organizer reserves the right to amend these terms (including the duration of the Contest and the dates of the draws), by notifying participants via the Website. Such amendments shall take effect on the date of the relevant announcement.
  15. Governing Law – Jurisdiction. These terms are governed and supplemented by Greek law. Any dispute related to the Contest that may arise in the future shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Trikala.
  16. Acceptance of the Terms. Participation in the Contest implies unconditional acceptance of these terms.
