The Museum includes a rich collection of birds and mammals as well as an integrated mushroom museum, the first of its kind in Greece. There are about 350 species of animals and 250 of the main species of mushrooms.
The way the collections are presented through dioramas accurately represents the natural environment, where the animals live and the mushrooms grow. The quality of the exhibits is excellent. They are placed in thematic units, and the exhibits are distributed according to the type of the ecosystem they belong to. An original presentation has been designed for the mushrooms, encompassing three phases of their development and providing a complete picture of how they are developed in each individual ecosystem.
The excellent quality of the exhibits and the well-formed design of the environment deliver an impressive result and make the Museum experience not only enjoyable but also productive.
