The Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum, in the context of the celebration of its 10th anniversary, offered a free visit to all the schools of the Municipality of Meteora.
This program, which was carried out in cooperation with the Municipality, was completed, and 1116 students took part. During their visit, they were guided by the Museum staff, focusing also on the fauna of the region and, in particular, on the Egyptian Vulture, an endangered and threatened vulture from the Meteora region.
At the same time, they were informed about the significant environmental problems of our time and the need to raise awareness about them.
This program is part of a more general plan that connects the Museum with the local community and contributes to its awareness and development.
